SPOKANE, Wash. - The University of Washington swept Morgan State University to claim the Gonzaga University Volleyball Tournament Championship. The Huskies finished the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record and are now 6-0 overall. UW defeated Morgan State by the scores of 30-23, 30-19 and 30-12.

Washington's Christal Morrison was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament while teammates Becky Perry and Jessica Swarbrick all earned All-Tournament honors.

Perry dominated in the contest against Morgan State finishing with a tournament-high 22 kills and a .429 attacking clip. Morrison added nine kills and five digs, while Kindra Carlson chipped in nine kills as well along with one block assist. The Huskies finished with 55 total kills and a .373 hitting percentage.

Leading the way for the Bears were Jeniqua and Ivanti Bush who closed out the match with eight and seven kills, respectively. Bush, who also earned All-Tournament accolades, added 11 digs. Morgan State, who is now 0-3, had 24 total kills and a .070 hitting percentage.
