John Gant Position: Head Coach (4th year) College: Eastern Washington, 1984

John Gant enters his fourth season as the men's head tennis coach at Gonzaga University after accepting the position in the summer of 2001.

In addition to working on the Gonzaga staff Gant serves as the tennis professional at Spokane's North Park Racquet Club, a position he has held since 1996. Gant has been an active member of the Spokane tennis community for more than 15 years serving as the tennis director at the North Park Racquet Club from 1986-94. During his tenure, Gant taught some of the top junior tennis players in the country, including Jan Michael Gambill.

Gant is a native of Spokane and a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in business administration. Gant played varsity tennis at the University of Washington before attending Eastern Washington.
