SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University forward Jason Kuska has been named the West Coast Conference men's soccer Player of the Week.

Kuska, a senior from Moscow, Idaho, scored three goals and added an assist for a 7-point day as Gonzaga stopped Oregon State University 4-1 Sunday in Corvallis, Ore.

Kuska is tied for second on the Bulldogs' single-season scoring list with 33 points, a mark achieved last season by current teammate Brian Ching. His 14 goals this season also tie him with Ching for second on the single-season list. The 7-point day was one shy of the 4 goals and 8 points he recorded earlier this season against Western Washington University.

Gonzaga is 9-5-0 overall and 3-0-0 for second place in the WCC. The Bulldogs face 8th-ranked University of San Diego (12-1-2, 3-0-1) Friday at 7 p.m. in San Diego in perhaps the biggest WCC match of the season. Gonzaga then faces Loyola Marymount University Sunday afternoon. A sweep by the Bulldogs would assure Gonzaga the WCC regular-season crown heading into the season finale Nov. 10 at the University of Portland and with it the WCC's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
