High School: Attended Bozeman High, earning three varsity letters for coaches Steve Landerdahl and Pat Straub...advanced to the Montana Class AA title game as a senior, dropping 1-0 contest to Helena in double overtime...made 14 saves in title game...advanced to the title game with 3-2 double OT win over Missoula Hellgate in opening round and 4-3 overtime win over Kalispell in semifinals...captured Eastern Conference AA crown with a 9-0-3 regular-season record...posted five shutouts in 13 starts and had 130 saves as a senior...junior season started 13 games and posted a 0.6 GAA...named All-Eastern Conference.

Dade Smith's Collegiate Career

FRESHMAN (2003): Redshirted at Gonzaga.

FRESHMAN (2004): Played in six matches with five starts...posted a 1-2-0 record and 2.47 GAA...defeated Montana State-Billings 5-1 in first collegiate start...Gonzaga scored just one goal in his other five appearances covering 347:21...faced 21 shots and had nine saves in 6-0 loss at Oregon State, and had eight saves in 1-0 loss at San Francisco in season finale.

SOPHOMORE (2005): Appeared in five matches with four starts, all late in the season...saw first action of year at Loyola Marymount when starter Vito Higgins was shaken up in a collision, playing the final 21 minutes as Bulldogs scored two late goals for 3-2 come-from-behind victory...started the next two matches on the same road swing - back-to-back at San Diego...USD took the first match 2-1 and Dade and the Bulldogs the second 3-2...Higgins returned to start the following two matches, but Dade given the nod in the final two...posted a 2-1 home win over No. 11 Santa Clara in match that kept Gonzaga in title chase heading into the final day of the regular season, making six saves...got start in regular-season finale and played first half before giving way to Higgins, two-time West Coast Conference champion San Francisco scoring two first-half goals in 2-0 victory...posted 3-2 record with 2.10 GAA.

JUNIOR (2006): Had shoulder surgery and unable to play early in the season...returned to back up starter Vito Higgins but did not see any action.

Misc.: Born 9-2-84...3.2 high school GPA and member of Honor Roll all four years...listed in Who's Who Among High School Students...recommended for and attended Advanced National Training Center at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., in June, 2003, where Tony DiCicco provided the coaching.
