SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's rowing team will continue its spring season when it travels to Wawawai Landing, Wash., for the Fawley Cup, a dual with Washington State University, set for Saturday, April 19. The regatta, which will take place on Snake River, will begin at 4 p.m. with the Varsity 8+ race. The Novice 8+ will race at 4:10 p.m., followed by the Junior Varsity 8+ at 5:10 p.m. and the Second Novice 8+ at 5:20 p.m. The final race of the day, the Novice 4+, is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.

The Fawley Cup is awarded to the annual winner of the men's Varsity 8+ race. The Bulldogs fell to the Cougars in 2006 to break a 16-year winning streak, but the Zags bounced back last season winning in dominating fashion. Gonzaga's Varsity 8+ crossed the finish line in a time of 6:18.94 a season ago; a 28 second win over Washington State who had a time of 6:46.62.

4:00 p.m. - Varsity 8+
4:10 p.m. - Novice 8+
5:10 p.m. - Junior Varsity 8+
5:20 p.m. - Second Novice 8+
5:30 p.m. - Novice 4+

Novice 8+: Crystal Huff, Matt White, Julian Stephanski, Andrew Krug, Carson Bowlin, Connor Wege, Neil Coppinger, Nick Willard, and Benjamin Schwarz.

Second Novice 8+: Rebecca Hussey, Andrew Krug, Kevin Brown, Nick Willard, Neil Coppinger, Mike Gore, Benjamin Schwarz and David Wayne.

Novice 4+: Crystal Huff, Julian Stephanski, Matt White, Carson Bowlin, and Connor Wege.
