High School: Prepped at Spokane's Ferris High, playing for the late Wayne Gilman as a sophomore and junior, and for Don van Leirop as a senior...finished his career with back-to-back Washington State Class 4A runner-up finishes, losing to Lincoln-Tacoma both years in the title game...senior season averaged 24.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 4.7 assists and 3.2 blocks for 25-4 squad...averaged 19.5 ppg and 10.0 rpg as a junior in another 25-4 campaign...named MVP of the State Class 4A Tournament as a junior, averaging 21.8 ppg and 12.8 rpg in the four games...two-time All-Greater Spokane League first team and All-State selection, the only junior on the All-State team in 2001...as a sophomore he averaged 18 ppg for the Saxons, who went 23-5 overall, won the Region IV tournament and went 1-2 in the State 4A Tournament...played varsity in post-season play only as a freshman, finishing second to Walla Walla in the Region IV Tournament...scored 1,214 career points in GSL play, breaking the record of former Mead High and Gonzaga standout Jeff Brown ( Class of `94) who had 872 from 1987-89...had 615 career rebounds.
FRESHMAN (2003-04): Got off to a fast start, hitting his first collegiate shot - a 3-pointer from the top of the key - on his way to 8 points against Saint Joseph's in Madison Square Garden...was consistent all season off the bench, shooting 61.1 percent (55-for-90) from the field, averaging 5.6 ppg and 2.8 rpg...scored in double digits five times, including a three-game stretch late in the season where he matched his season high of 12 at Saint Mary's, came back with a season-high 16 at home against Portland and then scored 11 at Tulsa...went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from the free throw line against Portland...season-high seven rebounds twice late in the season - at home against Loyola Marymount and at home against San Diego...averaged 15.2 minutes/game overall, 16.6 minutes/game in West Coast Conference play...had nine games of 20-plus minutes with a season-high 26 at home against Loyola Marymount...played 21 minutes against Valparaiso and 23 against Nevada in the NCAA Tournament, scoring 15 points, grabbing nine rebounds and going 6-for-11 from the field...named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team. SOPHOMORE (2004-05): Got off to a fast start, going 20-for-38 from the field in 3-game homestand to open the season, scoring career-high 18 points in season opener against Portland State, came back with another career-high 21 points against Montana and then scored 11 against Idaho...also set career-high with 8 rebounds against PSU, then posted first career double-double with 11 points and career-high 10 rebounds against Idaho...scored 16 points and had 5 rebounds in win over then 14th-ranked Washington...grabbed 10 rebounds at Washington State to equal career high...played 27 minutes in WCC Tournament semifinal against San Diego as Ronny Turiaf got in early foul trouble, scoring 6 points and grabbing 5 rebounds...played 16 minutes in title game against Saint Mary's, scoring 2 points and grabbing 2 rebounds...played 24 minutes in NCAA Tournament, going 2-for-4 from the field and grabbing 6 rebounds, 5 of them in second round against Texas Tech...named to the 3rd annual Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association Scholar-Athlete Team selected by the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA), carrying a 3.28 GPA in political science. JUNIOR (2005-06): Started 32 of 33 games, giving way to Erroll Knight on Senior Night...had a pair of double-doubles - 10/10 against Portland State and 12/10 at Portland...scored in double digits five other times with a season-high 15 points against Santa Clara, going 4-for-6 from the field...shot 51.0 percent from the field for second on team, 4.5 rpg ranked third on squad...named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic team with 3.27 GPA in political science...had perhaps best game of career against Indiana in NCAA Second Round, matching season high with 15 points and career high with 10 rebounds...went 4-for-7 from field against Hoosiers, most from close range and rebound baskets, and 7-for-8 from the line...named the CBS Player of the Game against Indiana...got in early foul trouble in NCAA Sweet Sixteen game against UCLA and played just seven minutes in the first half, 13 for the game, going 0-for-2 from the field, grabbing three rebounds and blocking a shot...4th annual Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association Scholar-Athlete Team selected by the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA), carrying a 3.28 GPA in political science, his second straight selection to the team...also named to the WCC All-Academic team.
